*KOMPA MAGAZINE: MAC. Your thoughts on LNDJ 2014 and what went down with HARMONIK?
MAC D.: “I’m speechless and that’s all I can say. It was total chaos for everyone. I know that jazz enterprise has one of the best teams when it comes to organize big event, therefore; this year they wanted to bring out Something new with different strategies which didn’t go well for them , the bands, either the crowd. I hope they take note and make it up next year. We are all humans and we can make mistakes, but not everyone will understand that.”
AJ Radio Citadelle was at LNDJ 2014. Here is his report on the show last night.
*1) CITADELLE, what is your opinion of LNDJ 2014? If you had to describe it in 1 word, which word would it be and why?
AJ CITADELLE: “It was a disaster. This never happened at LNDJ before. I can tell you place was too big, VIP setting was in the wrong area, sounds crew got there very late.”
*2) What time did the concert start exactly?
AJ CITADELLE: “I believe around 2:30 am.”
*3) When did you sense that the night might be in for trouble?
AJ CITADELLE: “1 AM still no sound check. People started to ask what’s going on? But I’ll gave the fans credit for being very patient until the show started.” (more…)
*KOMPA MAGAZINE: You are one of the most qualified people in my opinion to answer this question. What would be your advice to KREYOL LA in this moment of crisis after losing 2 key members in the group at the same time?
BRUTUS: “HURRY UP & FILL IN THE BLANKS (Empty spots). Get musicians that are COPY CATS (of the members that left) temporarily to keep the ball rolling…while at the same time you look for the RIGHT GUYS to do the job (in the long run). DO NOT CANCEL ANY GIGS. That would be my advice.”
Press release of Fresh-up march 2014
Our contribution and good figure to 2014′s carnival with our hit single “ViV/Aba”was well appreciated and proclaimed one of the best carnival songs for this year. Although we didn’t acquire a truck for the 3 day showdown, our song still managed to prove that we can deliver good quality music. Furthermore, we want to thank radio tele ginen for awarding us, fresh up a certificate of honor and merit for out involvement in ginen naval. (more…)

1) What were the differences in your experiences with KLASS and NU LOOK?
Alex Lavaud: Lollllllllll…..Both experiences with both leaders and band members were great Pat … I got to learn and know about each of them and they get to learn and know about me.”
2) Are you surprised by how popular KLASS has gotten or not?
Alex Lavaud: Nope, not at all …. Pipo and Richie are nothing new on the market Pat , they are both 2 great musicians and artists well known and credible on this market … They did pretty good for a new beginning on a new project … I wish them the best for the future.”
3) There are still some fans hardcore fans who are not used to ARLY being in front of the band as the main singer…without the keyboard, and without another compas direct uptempo singer. What do you think of that?
